Idea To transform an old corridor that linked the children’s ambulatory care reception area to EENT Theatres. This created a dedicated pathway for children to be taken to EENT theatres.
Benefits As well as fitting in with child protection guidelines the bright and colourful corridor has a child-friendly underwater theme. This offers a better experience for children and helps to reduce anxiety in a frightening situation. Soon there will be relaxing sounds to match the theme and keep children relaxed and at ease as they are taken to theatre.
